As a sculptor, my research explores materiality and form. My work incorporates metal, wood, clay, fiber, and explores how organic materials co-mingle with creative technology/electronics, sound, and found objects. These sculptural explorations live as both exhibitions and musical compositions. I install my work in such a way that when a guest visits the exhibition space, their entrance triggers a motion sensor, activating a programmed succession of sounds/kinetic sculptures. The ambient sounds from the outside world, the gallery, the artworks, and the gallery guests intermingle and generate a bespoke composition. I think of these compositions as songs that are activated by and dedicated to the place in which they are made.
